Not to say that this rewrite took 5 hours. I was giving the
weekly total for journal writing.
It was a long walk. It was all day in the sun and it helped make my Sunday feel better. That's important because Sundays often suck for some strange as yet to be identified law of the universe.
You would be surprised at how different a walk can be when you carry your juggling clubs along for the trip. People smile and call you over to entertain them. There's a general sense of amusement. Random commentary from passer-byers spikes.
Juggling on walks is a must.
I even got to visit Rosie at work and Zara at home. Sitting out on old wooden porches and talking about how good the sunny day is should be a required memory for all people whom claim they have lived their lives.
But now down to business....
*This Week in Review
Monday SVN Log
4 hours of extra journal writing time have vastly improved the writing quality for this week. The text may not be award wining but at least you don't get paragraphs worded like the above image.
SVN Log was an attempt to explain and enlist conversation from those willing to comment. It was a successful entry of one could say entries are successful.
Tuesday Liaison
The day the Ardunio Board came. I was excited, but apparently no one could tell what the image on the right hand side of the equation was. It was an oyster people! An oyster!

That day also featured the sentence running program.
Note that the comments are longer than the program. I have yet to demo this program in movie format. It so deserves it.
In retrospect this whole week should really be called, "I got to control the computer with a plastic knob on a board." Because that's the biggest improvement in my life since longing for it as a little kid. Though its not till Saturday that I actually turn the knob.
Wednesday Playa Mathematics
Its been a struggle to write better. It would be nice if the writing actually could wrap itself up into a nice conclusion. *exhales
Alas, that's not the case with a daily journal.
The entry features the use of describing a daily event and then segwaying
into the thought that its tagged to. I've been trying out this new method in order to pull the events of my life into the greater mental context. I like the idea more than I like to actually write it. But I think its worth it for its the thoughts to live on after the days events burn up into the embers of time.
The idea is posted in the Notes section...
"If introduce the plot of the day I can figure the context for the ideas and then discuss each idea that has been brought up."
Thursday Afternoon Opportunity Cost
That was the day I decided to take a break.
The image featured on that page was made days earlier. Often, I create the images and just distill them out gradually.
The major issue with attempting to write better is the fact that if I can't write worse I just don't write. But then a large quantity of ideas slip away. This is why my journal manifesto claims what it claims. This journal ought to be a mere record of thoughts and not a display case for the world. And yet here I am attempted to write better in order to learn to write better.
That's looking like 5 hours of work on average per week.
Does it make a difference?
Friday Sandwich Legend
I still smile while I think about this. I attempted to explain why getting my daily sandwich means so much. And I have yet to write that letter...
"I find that when I'm really trying to write its painfully slow. Consider this one sentence I kept rewriting..."
You know I'm trying because this note appeared there.
Again due to the attempt to write better I didn't put down the story of watching the Marching Lumber jacks (College Band) storming the visiting high schoolers in the 'J' or visiting circus and juggling hammers.

Yes those are hammers and I am juggling them.
Better Writing Reduces Record Keeping.
Do you understand yet? Do you understand the trade off I'm making? Do you understand why I hate it? Do you understand my journal manifesto now?
And yet I still force myself to try.
