Ashley, was my boss for day while I volunteered to help out with Arcata's 4th of July plaza festival.

Arcata has break dancers. One of them did a complete flip as the crowd gazed on in wonder.

Someone gave Ashley sparklers after work. I stood a safe distance away taking pictures.

The fireworks went off 20 minutes early and I wasn't at the field on time.
But it was memorable to speed my bike through the smoking streets of Arcata as fireworks
went off in the distance.
It was too bad about the fireworks. Low clouds hid most of the show and Arcata's 18,000 dollars went
up in smoke.
