I can see how it happens.

If a girl has such strong feelings for a guy.
Then 'a jerk' could just play along and get what he wants from the girl.

Of course, I wouldn't do that. I wouldn't lead someone on.

That doesn't mean it doesn't hurt to see someone I still care about so upset.

And I'm sad about it. I wish that when people fell in love
it would always be an even number because there would be fewer broken hearts.
But as luck and life would have it, that is not the case.

This girl definitely has feelings for me.
But I knew, it would be wrong to do anything.
And so I could see her heart breaking
right in front of me.

That's not a good feeling.

But overall, it's better than what a jerk would do.
