Tommorrows Maiden Day
by Chris Stones
It's a town in a distance place
It's a frown on a happy face
Walking with the wind to his back
Along that blazing track
Ambling along in the pale light
Waiting for that silent night
It's all he can feel
As the sunsets on his heels
Stepping lightly in the clouds
Pulled over like darkened shrouds
He does not know his way
Only that he must obey
Father time has laid a trail
He's waiting for us to sail
Maybe we'll get back some day
But until then we're on our way
Set the anchor in your heart
Times a burnin in the dreamers hearth
With That silent melody
He marches infinitiy
It's a painful kind of day
But he know it will be okay
For the pain of this world
Is also on his heels
He paints the dark with memories
And old time remedies
Somewhere it will be out there
In tomorrows maiden day
He's a popper spending time
On the seconds that flow behind
along this sandy trial
.....on borrowed grains of time.
