If you do not know what I'm talking about know this.
I achieved something that will give me beautiful imagery
and control over the process.

I compiled the power of lux!

I can turn the above text into magic now.

The first time I really got a good image was from my very
own compiled binary. I'm guessing that the mac builds from
luxrender's site are quite optimized or something because I was
never able to get such good results so fast.

Renders still take a long time... but the end results are worth
the wait!

I really enjoy the fact that the first time I compiled luxconsole
I was able to render my first really nice output.
I take pride in that little fact.
Tonight paid off big.
