As I walked out into the dying afternoon light and looked up at the clouds that were engulfing the daylight sun, I pondered times to come. Tomorrow I begin a new job. A job that will feed and house me for the time after college. With luck, there will be a few years before I'll be forced to move on.

I think I relaxed a bit from pushing myself on my own work because suddenly I realized that I was going to be coming into a world of extra time. Time for which I could use to process my ideas at my own pace. So long as everything works out, I could call it a spot of wonderful luck. The luck that grants me all the time to think and to work. The luck that provides the basis upon which I may leap forward.

Such thoughts come to me as I stare off towards the cloudy horizon as I feel the cold wind brush my hair back and cool my face. It's a fitting metaphor. I stare off into the future. A future I can not be all that sure of yet. Yet I know one is out there among the others. Among all the possibilities I may find my own. Of all the futures...

Maybe, mine is staring right back at me.
